Education is liberation.
We believe education should open minds, awaken conscience and equip young people to participate meaningfully in society.
A Catholic school community committed to forming young people who are morally, spiritually and academically sound, ready to serve God and society.
Kisubi Mapeera Secondary School was founded in 1999 as a Catholic private school owned by the Kampala Archdiocese. From its humble beginnings, the school has grown into a vibrant learning community serving more than 1,000 students.
Our understanding of education goes beyond examination results. We seek to form young people who can think, believe, lead and serve — developing the intellectual, moral, spiritual, social and practical dimensions of each learner.
This is at the heart of what it means to be a Mapeeran: to receive an education that opens the mind, strengthens character and prepares a young person to use their gifts for the good of others.
We believe education should open minds, awaken conscience and equip young people to participate meaningfully in society.
To produce a holistic and liberated person who is prepared to grow in faith, knowledge, character, responsibility and service.
To form young people who are morally, spiritually and academically sound, ready to serve God and society.
As a Catholic school, we believe that education should nurture the whole person and place learning within a strong moral and spiritual foundation.
Encouraging a living relationship with God, prayer, reflection and respect for the dignity of every person.
Building discipline, honesty, responsibility and the courage to choose what is right.
Preparing young people to use their talents generously in service of God, family and society.
The school carries the name “Mapeera”, the Baganda rendition of “Mon Père”. It recalls the missionary Père Simon Lourdel, M.Afr., known as Fr. Mapera, and the story associated with the tent peg he turned into a tree.
The name connects our school to a history of faith, mission and service — a heritage we seek to carry forward through the formation of young people.
Academic development is important. So are the values, relationships and experiences that shape the person behind the results.
